It was a school day on a afternoon and the bell had rang, all of the students had sat at their spots at the table. A student had a bottle of hot sauce for some strange reason. People were saying it was very hot so everyone wanted to try it. A few students had tried some and were saying the same things. Then it got to one student and had tried some after he had tried it the student who was passing around the hot sauce had said “ Oh I don’t want it back now, he’s brown”.
I didn’t feel very good about this because it was a racist comment and in the beginning you should keep your comments to yourself but to say it in front of everyone is wrong and it is offensive. I myself did not do anything about it because everyone was throwing in their opinions about the situation and that we were not okay with it.
It would be good to let the person being racist know that you feel is not right, and tell them how you feel about being around when they make racist comments.
