Racism Story
One day i was driving home with my friend and her dad. In her neighbourhood theres a few African American familys who live there. My friends dad is from Poland and grew up in a time where being racist is ok. While we we're driving down the street to her house, there was 3 african american kids blocking their parking spot. Her dad started yelling to the little kids saying "Get out of my way you dirty monkeys". At the time me and my friend thought it was funny only because her dad sounded funny with his polish accent. But afterwards i felt bad because black people get called names all the time and get discriminated against. Don't be racist.

My Racist Experience
I have heard that everyone is a little racist, that's just how most people are raised. They subconcioulsy witness different reactions towards different races and treating them slighly differently. However, some are raised specifically that very offensive, and rude racism is acceptable, those people are racists.
I know some people who have been raised to believe that harsh racism is permittable. I know students that go to my school who have been raised such as this. Just this year I recall multiple experiences of witnessing racist comments.
Our school had african-american students for many years, and they were never attacked, or made fun of because of their race. However, this year another student of different race came to our school. Of course, since no one knew anything about him/her, he/she was a perfect target for the cruel, unnecassary racist jokes and comments that many people found humourous and simply laughed, or believed it was wrong, but kept quiet to themselves about it.
On one of the student's first days at school, another student decided to make very racist jokes about him/her. While in class, the new student was minding his/her own business, and The other student had decided to say "Watch out he might bomb us."
He didn't just stop after making one statement either, he had decided to nickname him a very stereotypical name, "Paco". He made quite a few very racist jokes about him/her over the next few days. However, I never decided to comment on these remarks, I just kept quiet knowing that the student who was being made fun of wasn't being made fun of to his/her face.
I believe I could have said something to the person who was making these harsh, unnecassary, racist comments but I felt as though I wasn't obligated to do so. I felt like someone else would have done something about it, preferably a teacher if it got out of hand.
If something such as this happened again I could either have simply said that comment wasn't necessary, or told someone such as a teacher what he said. And the teacher could keep watch on the student and assure it doesn't happen again.

Racism...
I have been called racist things before and I don’t care, it just depends who it is that’s saying the racist things. If its somebody I know, I don’t care. It depends who its saying it and what they’re saying, if its somebody I know I don’t say anything. But if its somebody I don’t know, I usually just ignore them, and don’t say anything, or I just go some where else. If I saw somebody saying something racist to somebody else I tell them to leave the person alone.
I had problems b’4 I came to Canada, I got called things from people from my own country, but i never did something. Until one time I got called something that I didn’t like, my oldest brother was there with me, he didn’t do anything. I got into a fight with this guy that was racist to my family and friends, I broke his nose and he told me that he wasn’t going to ever do it again, but he f****d that up. That was the last time he did that, my oldest brother, my best friend and I, saw him one day and he say something bad, he was with three other of his friends, I kicked his A**, his friends just watched it happen. They didn’t do anything, because it didn’t have anything to do with them. I did something about it...

Racism=judo Kick!
Racism has affected many of people, I’ve witnessed many situations. This situation I have acted against racism.
It was grade 7 and it was the second day of school. We were walking towards the bus at 3:30, this kid who was older then us, he was black. My friend and I were walking and he was approaching us, and no lie, he kicked her straight into the stomach and I asked what his problem was (maybe threw in some more graphic words) and he started to say racist things, such as “why are you wearing muck lucks, you’re whiter the snow”, and began to say stereotypes to my friend. He wasn’t saying these thing to me but to my friend. This is where things got ugly, he began to say things to me now. He kept repeating “I f--ked your grandma” and something along the lines of imbreaders. My fighting senses came in and in the matter of 5 seconds I threw my backpack and grabbed this boy by his collar and threw him to the ground. I started screaming and cursing as I sat on him and consistently punching his face with my fists! He started to cry but i didn’t care, i was so angry at him for being racist to my friend and just for saying things to me that were inappropriate. He was suspended after I beat him up.
I guess I should have approached this situation a little differently but I think fighting solves a lot of problems. I am not ashamed, or apologetic to this boy. I could recommend to approach situations like this without fighting the person or persons, but I would be a hypocrite. Just judo flip these kids, I’m serious. Seriously.

RACIST
We where sitting in the class room just starting are ELA class. the teacher was talking to one of the students asking his email address and one guy can in form a different class to get his books and said to the whole class "don't trust him he's brown" no one really did that much we all just said that he was benign really racist and should stop because no one really care what color someones skin is. that's my racist experiences its was not that big or drastic but that's the only racist event i have ever seen.
Racism Black kids
This one time a band camp I was polishing my flute when I seen out of the corner of my eye a bunch of black men started pushing around a chubby white boy named derek. Later derek was saying how black people are always so mean but I thought that was very racist because not all black people are that way. But then derek said why is it always the black kids pushing me around and I said it isn't just black people every body likes pushing you around.
The N Word
One day we were coming back from Saskatoon with Grandpa. I was bored so I started playing with the radio. I found my favorite station and there was a rap song on. Grandpa said " I bet this song is sung by a N-----" When we got home I showed him the music video and the guy was white.
Another thing he did was: a T.V. guide came in the mail and it had Will Smith on the front page he took A white marker put an X through his face and wrote n----- on it. It was kind of funny at the time then I discovered that it was wrong and told grandpa to stop but he said in a very Serious voice "Black people should be killed and anyone else that isn't white". He crossed the line and Grandma yelled at him. He has toned down the Racism but he will never learn how not to be racist.
