Once in my cooking class there was a kid and he was probably the rudest person I've ever met. And he thought it would be appropriate, to ask the exchange student from Germany if she liked Nazi's. She got really angry and started yelling at him, and he started yelling at her, for yelling at him. Then I got mad, because I have a weird group of friends, some of them are Spanish, some are Indian, flillipino, and even a Native best friend. I've delt with lots of racism involving my friends, and I can't stand it when people are racist, towards others. So I pushed him out of the classroom, because he was leaning against the door. Then I told him to shut up, and then everyone in the class got into trouble, for being to loud, and not behaving.
I think if this situation happened again. I may do things differently. I might actually make a point, of getting him to shut up, instead of doing it quietly.
You did good to stick up for the person being picked on. But you could have told the teacher what the situation was, then maybe the class wouldn't have gotten in trouble.
